GENERAL COURSE OBJECTIVES This course is designed to provide the students with the necessary language skills which will enable them to cope effectively with the challenges of their course, to use English Language effectively in the practice of his/her chosen profession as well as interact with others in the society. The students are expected to know the various rules of grammar and be able to use them in everyday communication. On the completion of the course the student should know the meaning, types and elements of a sentence construction, explain the meaning of concord and analyse its types, list the various tenses and apply its knowledge in proper construction of sentences, understand the basic types, rules and techniques of good essays, know and understand the registers to use in various professions and occupations and appreciate literary works in English.

PUBLIC RELATIONS COPYWRITTING (MAC 315/HND-MAC/1st)ODFel

GOAL: This course is designed to provide the requires knowledge in public relations copy writing. GENERAL COURSE OBJECTIVES To achieve the aims of this course, there are overall objectives which the course is out to achieve; though, there are set out objectives for each unit. The unit objectives are included at the beginning of each unit; you should read them before you start working through the unit. You may want to refer to them during your study of the unit to check on your progress. You should always look at the unit objectives after completing a unit. This is to assist the students in accomplishing the tasks entailed in this course. In this way, you can be sure you have done what was required of you by the unit. The objectives serve as study guides, such that each learner could determine if he is able to grab the knowledge of each unit through the sets of objectives in each one.

ADVANCED REPORTING (MAC 313/HND-Mac/1st)ODFel

General objectives: On the completion of this course the student should: 1. Understand the meaning of news, hints for news writing, its determinants and values. 2. Know interview skills in reporting issues 3. Understand the reporters as news Purveyors and their qualities 4. Know how to cover other specialized news situations

OPERATION RESEARCH I (STA 314/HND-ACC/1st)ODFel

GENERAL INTRODUCTION OF THE COURSE STA 314: Operation research I is a five (5) credit unit course designed for first semester HND1 students in statistics department school of science. The course is designed for intending students is statistics science, computer science and students in school of management science. The course will expose students to an understanding of some tools such as linear programming, transportation problem, assignment problem and their applications in solving scientific problems. The course is divided into five modulus with session containing the learning content in each of module.
